Dr Fiona Lim
I am originally from Kota Kinabalu,Sabah ,Malaysia and speak fluent English, Malay ,Mandarin, Hakka, Cantonese and Teochew.
I attended high school and University In the UK, graduating from the renowned King's College, School of Medicine and Dentistry in London in 1993. As a final year student, I was awarded the prestigious "Jose Soyave Endodontic Prize."
After gaining valuable experience as an associate Dentist, ,I purchased my own practice in Sabah for 10 years, before relocating to Sunshine Coast in 2009 . I have worked at CoastWide Smiles since moving to Australia.
I am really passionate about dentistry and enjoy all aspects, in particular cosmetic, orthodontic and emergency dentistry. To serve my patients better, I regularly update my dental knowledge with continuing education and courses. I have a mild manner and am experienced in treating anxious patients, children and those with special needs.
Providing patients with the best service is paramount to me, by communicating and gaining trust and providing for their needs. Patients can be assured they are always treated with gentle care.
Throughout my career, I have been active in community work, often volunteering free dental services for the disadvantaged and poor in remote areas of Borneo.
I love sport and represented Malaysia in triathlon and actively promoted sports by organizing events for the community. In doing so, I won numerous accolades nationally for my community work and sports. In my spare time I like to go mountain biking, trail running and playing golf I also like to travel, go to the movies and getting out.
Living in the Sunshine Coast, Fiona continues to enjoy her outdoor sports. Other hobbies include reading , playing the piano ,travelling and spending time with family.
Notable events she participated in are the Raid Gauloise Vietnam World championship, Hawaii World Ironman Triathlon championships, Eco-challenge World Championship,Japan Strongman Triathlon Championship and recently competed as an Australian representative at the Cross Triathlon World Championship in Lake Crackenback ,NSW.
